2009 Vermentino 2009 Fiano 2009 Petite Sirah
PRICE: $16.00 PRICE: $25.00 PRICE: $28.00
Our Vermentino is a beautiful example of what this Mediterranean grape variety can show. Estate grown in the perfect Sierra Foothills climate, this wine offers beautiful aroma of orange blossoms and honey, combined with a meyer lemon sweet citrus note. The flavors are bright and rich with a minerality and spicy fruit that will go very well with many fresh seafood dishes or light grilled meals. This is a wine to enjoy now and will age for two to three years. Fiano is one of southern Italy's most famous white wines, comes from the Campania region, from vines grown on the volcanic Hillsides of Avellino, east of Naples. Our estate Fiano sits on the Terraces at the top of our vineyard which overlooks the Barbera. Only 35 cases were bottled due to the frost of 2008. This wine offers a delicate bouquet of pears and toasted hazelnut, followed by hints of white flowers and tropical fruit. Fiano goes well with many seafood or poultry dishes. Our 2009 Petite Sirah is a classic version of this bold variety grown at Gianelli Vineyards. This is a massive and dark wine that also has grace and soft tannins. This wine was aged in new French Oak barrels for 18 months prior to bottling. Only 40 cases of this wine were produced from our Estate vineyard in Jamestown of Tuolumne County. The wine has very ripe blackberry and pepper aromas integrated with French Oak and cherry/chocolate flavors. This wine will continue to develop with bottle age for years to come but is very enjoyable now.

2009 Nino 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 Sangiovese
PRICE: $22.00 PRICE: $23.00 PRICE: $24.00
A beautiful blend of 50% Grenache, 35% Primitivo and 15% Petite Sirah all estate grown. This unusual blend has wonderful berry flavors with overtones of spiceiness and fresh fruit. Goes well with most pasta dishes especially Pasta with Pesto which was NINO’S favorite. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in combination of French and American Oak barrels for over 18 months prior to blending and bottling in April of 2009. Classic aromas of mint and dark chocolate are married with the toasty oak flavors and soft tannins from long barrel aging. This is a Cabernet Sauvignon made to lay down for many years to come but is also very enjoyable in its youth. The grapes were hand picked, 'bin fermented' and punched down daily until fermentation completed after 8 days. After pressing the grapes the wine was gently racked to barrels for aging. 125 cases were produced. Silver Medal Winner/2011 S.F. Chronicle Wine Competition. Our 2008 Sangiovese (Super Tuscan) is a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot. Grapes were hand picked and bin fermented, aged in French Oak for 18 months. Intense purple color tending to violet. The palate bursts with attractive violet and blackberry notes followed by a long substantial finish. A wine that wants to reach with its uniqueness the maximum elegance.
